GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Insurance Billing Supervisor, performs clinic related data entry. Input of data from the Texas Department of State Health Services Immunization Registry Consent Forms into the electronic billing system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs immunization specific data entry into the designated electronic billing system.
Research data from multiple sources.
File Disaster Information Retention forms in appropriate stage of billing process
Manages Disaster Information Retention forms to be entered to abide by HIPAA rules.
Input all sensitive data and insurance information into the designated electronic billing system.
Pays attention to detail and inputs data correctly and accurately.
Crosscheck and verify data keyed into the databases for accuracy.
Correct any date that was entered incorrectly.
Maintain workflow regarding work completed and work pending.
Ask questions if unsure of procedure.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of computer word-processing.
Skilled in area of data input.
Ability to work with a team.
Able to follow directions.
EDUCATION and E XPERIENCE:
High school diploma required. Two (2) year’s work experience in a data entry-related field.

Observes assigned work hours unless other arrangements are made with Director of Human Resources and Revenue Strategies and is punctual.

Must show proof of immunization in accordance with health district policy.
Must be able to spend six to eight hours walking and standing and/or sitting.
Must be able to lift 25 pounds to waist level and stretch to reach files.
